The second volume of the Epistolario covers the final period of Paganini's life, from his first, triumphant performances in Paris and London in 1831, to his death in Nice on May 27, 1840.
It moves from the high point of the violinist's career, to the years after 1834, marked by symptoms of decline, at first imperceptible, then increasingly evident as his health deteriorated, until the tragic conclusion in May 1840.
