For the first time in show a precious autograph of an aria from Un ballo in maschera, preserved in the Library of the Accademia, along with other document from Accademia archives and from the State Archive of Rome: photographs, printed materials of the first staging and confidential documents from the censorship and the papal police to explain all the ins and outs of the birth and the first performance of Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Apollo in Rome in the carnival 1859.
As a testimony of the fortune of the work on Roman stages there are also costumes, sets and figurines from one of the most famous productions at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and some video excerpts about interpretation of the opera.
