Gagaku: Japanese court music, 5 March 2010

Nihon gagaku kai (Japanese society for gagaku) is one of the most ancient private associations of Japanese court music, nota known as gagaku. The association was founded in 1962; its members are trained by masters from the imperial court.
The lesson of master Suzuki Haruo aims at explaining the instruments and playing techniques and is followed by the performance of typical pieces from the court repertoire .
